Description

Llandudno, Caernarfonshire born right-handed batsman Percy Latham was educated at Malvern College before going up to Pembroke College, Cambridge University in 1891. He won his Blue at cricket for the University in each of the years from 1892 to 1894, and he was the University’s captain in his final year. After graduating he taught at Haileybury College from 1895 until his death in 1922, playing for Sussex until 1908. In 63 first class matches he scored 2,580 runs at an average of 26.06, scoring 3 centuries, two of which were for the University and one for Sussex, and 25 half centuries, with a highest score of 172. He also took 2 wickets as an occasional slow bowler and held 31 catches in first class play.
