Countesthorpe, Leicestershire born all rounder Anthony Riddington was a left-hand batsman and left-arm medium or slow-medium pace bowler who made his debut for Leicestershire in 1931 and played 128 first class matches through to 1950. With the bat he made a single century, making an unbeaten 104, among 3,650 runs scored at an average of 18.52. With his bowling he took 83 wickets at 38.93 apiece, with a best performance of 5-34, his only five wicket career haul.
